Altrincham Business Improvement District (BID) and Capstone Financial are thrilled to share that Friday’s International Women’s Day event held at Prana in Altrincham, raised £1,525 for Prevent Breast Cancer, the charity based at the Nightingale Centre at Wythenshawe Hospital.

The event’s theme was Stronger Together, Sharing Success and included an inspiring line-up of guest speakers; Rimi Thapar (Love Raw), Kate Hulley (Belmont Packaging) and Sarah Fogg (Brows by Sarah).  They all shared their remarkable stories, shedding light on the achievements and challenges they faced whilst growing their businesses.

The event also focussed on wellbeing and self-care with presentations on financial wellbeing and mental health, as well as fitness.  Contributions were made by Sarah Jones (Project You), Janine Brink (Capstone Financial) and Zoe Rivers (Beyond Barriers).

The event was also attended by Heather Glover, one of Prevent Breast Cancer ambassadors. Heather shared her personal experience of breast cancer and how it inspired her business, Skarlette, which produces Women’s Double Mastectomy Swimwear designed to help women look and feel confident.

Altrincham based boutiques, Skanda and Laundry B put on a fashion show which highlighted new season collections. Revive Skin & Hair supported by creating the model’s hair and make-up. The Massage Company offered mini massages, providing relaxation and rejuvenation to the guests.

Numerous businesses contributed to the event’s success by generously donating items for the goodie bags and raffle.  Food and drinks were provided by Prana, the live music venue and bar recently opened on Ashley Road in Altrincham. Smash Parties contributed by dressing the venue with pink balloon displays.

Sarah Healey, Capstone Financial explained, “Friday’s event was a huge success, and we are enormously grateful to everyone who participated, contributed, and attended.  The success of the occasion demonstrates the strength of community spirit and the shared commitment to making a positive impact.  Thank you to everyone”.

Mandy White, Altrincham BID Director, “Thank you again to everyone involved and to Altrincham’s businesses for all their contributions. The speakers shared incredibly inspirational stories and we are delighted to be supporting Prevent Breast Cancer through Paint Altrincham Pink again this year.  There’s still lots to come, look out on Visit Altrincham’s social media for other events which are taking place up to Tuesday 19th March”.
